I’m sorry this is too late for those of you already bilked out of your hard earned money from eAutoMarket Consignment or eam-consignment.com.
eAutoMarket Consignment, was created two weeks ago (using an IP address out of Russia) with one thing in mind and that was to steal your hard earned money through false advertising through false classified ads. Just as fast as they appeared back in early October they have now disappeared with who knows how much of our money. When I say disappeared, I mean disappeared! It’s as though they never existed. They are clearly suppressing the internet from any searches or activity (positive or negative) with regards to eam-consignment.com or eAutoMarket Consignment (probably going to suppress this blog, so please be sure to comment if you have encountered them.) Prior to their vanishing act the internet was full of positive comments, blogs and reviews (obvious fake), plus their website was readily accessible. Their website was very professional, well thought out and extensive leaving you the impression that you were dealing with experienced professionals. Professional thieves that is. They will have all the right answers to all of your questions. They have a good racket going and will pop up under a different name no doubt (probably up right now stealing more money as I write this blog).
Their are some key Red Flags to watch for with any online consignment group or site;
1.Scammers will pose as real sellers on fake classified websites with very low prices (more on that in my next blog) and link you to a “consignment” group. If no phone numbers or emails are exchanged with the seller then Red Flag!
2.The item for sale will not be available to view since it is supposedly in possession of the consignment group. Red Flag!
3.Look for an actual phone number or physical business address that you can contact the consignment group through. If your only means of contact is through their website link then Red Flag!
4.Look up the consignment website address on WHOIS to see who owns it and when it was created. If it was created very recently or the owner is out of a foreign country then Red Flag!
5.The consignment group will also state that they will accept several forms of payment (i.e PayPal, Visa, etc.) that would protect you as a buyer, but when you get down to closing the deal they will only accept a “non traceable” wire transfer. Red Flag!
Protect yourself and your money!
If the price is too good to be true, then it probably is.
Buy local and go see the item.
Never wire money to any that you don’t know at any time for any reason.
If this blog helps at least one person, then it was worth my time creating it so please comment, contribute and share with others.
