Wasn't sure where to post this. But a little over a week ago, I decided that I was tired of receiving this one email from Singlesnet. I swore that I had deleted my account over 4 months ago. So the message said to stop receiving these emails click here.
The virus has since been removed, but I still get the emails in my spam folder. I changed all my passwords to all my accounts, luckily I do not pay my bills from my home computer, I do that at work where we have major firewalls.
I am now getting an spam email for AmateurMatch. I stopped all online dating back in May when I met my boyfriend. Of course I am not going to click on it, and I just googled it and it is a Free Sex website. Nasty, delete.
It is a virus, worm, whatever you want to call it. Funny thing is my dumb email wasn't spamming the original emails. It took over my inbox, massed emailed all my friends, including my work and cell phone. Luckily, I deleted the one for work before it shut my company down. I texted my boyfriend and all my friends to tell them to delete. I went to Staples and purchased a program where I called their ITT techs to remove the virus. Of course I don't trust people I don't know, so I sat there and watched him. And as soon as he found the virus and I saw where the orgin was I was mad.DON'T
I guess some scammers are not as dumb as we think there are. But that is ok, any scammer I emailed in the past, well that got that virus too.NIGERIA
