Watch out for people looking for nannies on Craigslist. They supply an email from wikizplc.com asking for personal information. I sent vague basic info asking for clarification and then an email came back asking for my personal info so I could cash a check, take out my fee and pay various other bills for the person. No real verification was given by the "Tony" and the english was a very awkward translation, especially for someone claiming to be from Texas. I am afraid this will suck in young girls who love kids and think they have found the perfect part time job.

Welcome here almostscamdcrgslist.

I'm glad you didn't get scammed by this scammer. It is a common fake check scam, where the scammer sends you a fake check, and asks you to cash it immediatly, then send money to different persons via western union, giving him the payment details, so that he can collect the money himself. Could you please post that e mail here? Then other potential victims can be warned.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.
