I'm so thankful I looked here before replying as it did not appear legit!

See the email below of the reply I received in regards to a Receptionist position posted on Craigs List Sun 1/23/2011

Hi There ________,
We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Miller Corp & Partners. After overlooking your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company. Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at millerhiring.biz or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is 632128. Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.

Regards,
Jaime Heckman
Miller Corp & Partners

DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK IN THE EMAIL AND DON'T REPLY BACK TO THIS SCAMMER- THEY JUST WANT TO SEE IF THEY CAN CON YOU INTO GIVING OUT PERSONAL INFO AND USE YOUR CREDIT INFO FOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY!

I'm glad you caught this before you were scammed.

While identity theft is a definite concern, in many cases these scammers are simply after an affiliate fee from the credit report company for sending you there. But either way, the job doesn't exist, and the scammers are simply using a phony job to make money from you.
