Just want to warn people about someone pretending to be a Red Cross employee who is deployed in Somalia. He claims to be from Turkey however was born in the U.S. He is also supposedly an engineer who is supervising the rebuilding of some government buildings that were destroyed.

He goes by the name of Steve Richy. The email he uses is [email protected].

We matched on Tinder. He said he thought I was the love of his life after about a day of messaging. I was suspicious however he was extremely charming and I actually received 2 phone calls from him. He tried to scam me out of 650 dollars to be able to have daily communication on a satellite phone.

In reading the posts, I realized that this is very similar to the army scam, for some reason he chose to be from the Red Cross.
