Rental Scammers from UK

This man and his wife- "Frank Brown" and "Melissa Brown" tried renting an apartment to me that did not even exist. They ended up getting a 1000 off of me and asked for more before sending the keys and I went to the police then. He called from a bad number, the numbers he gave us were different. These are the numbers and addresses he gave us.

I'm sorry to hear you were scammed. There's little or no chance of getting your money back, I'm afraid.
i don't think there is any UK connection. 4470 numbers are free and scammers use them to pretend they are in the UK. 07536563801is a UK cell phone number, but Pay As You Go SIMS aren't hard to get. i take it that 1805 087 0625 is the one that doesn't work.
The scammer is certainly in Nigeria and beyond the reach of your local police.

I have almost been scammed by the same people. I actually live in Canada and they always go by this story:

The husband lives in Scotland and works in UNICEF, while his "wife" lives in Hamilton, Ontario to take care of her mother, and she works as a sanctuary keeper while waiting for her husband to return.
While they're both away, they want to rent to people who are "good" since they claim to be devout Christians themselves.

I think people need to know about this script, since I know many good people will believe that they are honest people, especially older people looking to rent an apartment. I hate how these people are stealing from good people who do nothing but work day and night, only to get their money stolen from people they trusted.
