I am the victim of a secret shopper scam. The email came from Regional Shopper with an email address of [email protected]. The company name was Warehouse Evaluation Inc. and I was to reply to [email protected]. The person's name that was the "hiring manager" was Frank James and it was to pay $200.00 per survey. They sent 2 money orders via courier service. I was to cash them at a bank and take my money out of that money and send them the rest by western union since that was one of the companies that I was evaluating that day. My thinking was that the money orders had to be legit (and they looked very legit) because you had to have the cash up front to get the money orders,so I thought. Everything seemed to go ok, so I did a second job for them. This time they sent 5 money orders and I was to evaluate 2 western union outlets-same instructions as before. About 2-3 weeks later I noticed that I had a debit on my checking account and the amount was the same as the money orders. I knew then that I had been scammed. Two days ago I got an email from him wondering " why I have decided to keep silent for the past few weeks. He wants me to get back to work because they have a lot of goodies for me"......yea, I just bet they do! I guess what I am looking for is some advice on how to handle this. Do I email him back and tell him what I think of their "job" or do I say nothing and just ignore him. I have never been the victim of a scam before, and I never will again. The only thing I know is that he has is my address.
