There was a great deal for a car on autoscout.de. And you know what they say:
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
They got a picture of my pasport and my name and address.
Something prompted me to google the email part that is after the@.
And I found this very website made by you kind souls.
There was a post by Michelle from 26 October 2020 6:06 pm. It actually had the exact same text in broken English....
Tomorrow getting a new passport.

There's no need to get a new passport. Either way he still has a scan of your present one.
There is a risk of the scammer using it and your name and address to scam others unfortunately.
