Hi I would like to warn people about this Man i am from the UK he contacted me thro a dating site, said he was Lt Col Michael Anddison ([email protected]) serving as a heli pilot in afgan ,from New york widower 1 son, usual story line, nice looking posted 4 pics 3 in uniform one with General Petrusea (excuse spelling ) 1 in civvies, i chatted with me for over 4mths well read and excellent speller no signs of any bad grammar said he was coming to visit me emailed me confirmation from Emirates airline , he was very good, very intelligent prob from a text book but was very accurate even when on IM came back with prompt answers, Googled my home town telling me where he wanted me to take him sightseeing etc,gave me his home address to google which i did was a bit wary when i couldnt get on a house but apartments he covered that up, sent me flowers etc, declared undying love, then was retiring 21st july flying to uk july23rd to visit me, hoping to make a future strange i never believed him, then he asked for money to get his luggage thro customs that had been on route to new york i said give me the airport i will pay over phone ( wasnt going to part with money blonde but not stupid) no had to go to diplomat who was taking luggage inGhana, so i phoned Emirates gave a cock and bull story and found out not on any flight, so i then sent him a nasty letter saying what i thought and also told him i contacted my local police as he had my address which i had, you will never believe it he still wrote to me for a few days after anyway sorry its so long just wanted to warn people, is there anyway i can find out the real id of the photos as i hate the thought of decent peoples character being trashed by the likes of these people thank tou

Welcome to ScamWarners barbaraanne. It is great that you recognized you were dealing with a scammer.

They often will contact after they have been dumped or told off. Telling the off doesn't really do anything to stop them.

As you figured out, this scammer is none of the things he claims to be and he is in none of the places he claims to be. All he wants is money from you.

Ignore any future contacts from him. It is not going to turn out well.
