Hi everybody,

My name is Arthur and I've just been scammed by a person whose pseudo is Jane Hooper.

I'm just so naive, I'm a french student and I need absolutely a flat in Paris for September. I registered in many websites of roommates and this girl, Jane Hooper, sent me a message with a fantastic flat very well situated in Paris.

Of course, I was a lil bit suspicious because it seemed too beautiful to be real but after many discussions and questions, I sent her yesterday an amount that I can't write here because I feel too ashamed. I just will say that for a french student, it represents something like a month a salary.

And well, after searching her mail address on internet, I found this website which was saying that it was a scam, so firstly I would like to thank you because now I am sure that I'm a fucking idiot and secondly, I'm almost sure that there is no solution but maybe, the experimented persons of this website could help me to get back my money, I have a little hope....

That's entirely my fault, I didn't have enough guarantees before sending my money but she convinced me and now, I'm in a very bad situation because almost in bankruptcy. I can't complain, I just have to assume...

Thans for your answers and I wish this message could help other people to struggle against these scammers who don't have any conscience of the damages they cause.

Bye

Arthur

Hi Arthur. Welcome to ScamWarners, I'm very sorry to hear that you were scammed. How did you send the money? If you sent it via Western Union if it hasn't been picked up by the scammer yet you can have the transaction cancelled by calling 1-800-448-1492. If you sent it through a bank transfer, contact your bank immediately and ask them to cancel it. If the money has already been picked up by the scammer then I would recommend that you report it to law enforcement, but do not be too hopeful about getting your money back. If you have any other questions please ask.
