I asked him why he couldn't pay and he said he did not have access to his army reserves until he was on leave. He told me to enquire through [email protected] and make the transfer via Western Union to a Noelle Meyer, Michigan, USA. Well at .10c a min I decided to ring the Military Recruitment Centre and they informed me that no such soldier exists, I must make a report to the Military Defense Dept and lodge a complaint to which I did. I am pretending to talk online and that I have sent the money to keep him there until the Defense Dept and online scammers catch up with him. Reading the reports Paul Roberts' name pops up a few times and has actually taken a few people in. If it wasn't for the .10c a minute call to America I probably would have sent the money so I am sooo lucky.

I hope you didn't send any money at all. No one can do anything with this person because he is sitting in an internet cafe in Lagos and pocketing any money sent. Western Union and Moneygram transfers are no better than walking outside into the street and leaving a box of cash there for the next passer by to collect. Of course what is not also realised is scammers/criminals also have to pay out to gang leaders and for protection money, and some of this cash is diverted to finance terrorism and other major crime.
