Just a warning to all. Someone tried to steal my husbands identify through using his Driving Licence No. We were tipped off when they set up two accounts with Foreign Exchange bureaus in London. The Phone no they gave was not the correct STD code for where we live, and they could not actually produce any documents, so the bureau thankfully called us to check if we had opened the account. The next day, a "postman" came to the door with a registered envelope for my husband, who signed for it, and when opened it was full of junk mail, so they now had his signature. We can only think that this has occurred through hiring a car either in America or the Caribbean as that is the only time his DL was used. So I guess someone in the car rental is being paid money to sell this information, However, a word of warning. When receiving goods at your door, have a completely different signature from one you would use normally at your bank etc. That way, if they steal your signature, it will look nothing like its suppose to!! Thats my tip for the day
