People have to listen to that feeling inside them that says if it doesn't feel right, don't continue! If they sound initially convincing, subsequent experience shows scammers will never keep up their end of the bargain. And if you're on to them, they will simply ignore you and move on to their next victim. That's why its important to drive scam sites out of business to prevent other people from incurring unwarranted losses and to clean up the Internet so its a place for honest businesses to prosper and thrive. We may not be able to completely eliminate crime but we can dry up the environment that makes it quite profitable. This is where sites like this come in to help and empower people - whether they are victims or not of the depredations of the cybercriminals out there.

Hi, Norman!:D

You are absolubely right. The best way to prevent someone from becoming a victim is to educate him or her. The more signs of fraudulent activity you learn about, the better you become at spotting scams before they get you.

We post copies of scam emails here, and many times we will point out the red flags. We also show people how to do research to determine for themselves if something is as dodgy as it looks.

Have a good look around the site, and if you run across any obvious internet scams, feel free to post them here. If you have a question about the validity of an email or a site, please go ahead and ask - someone here will be happy to help you determine whether it's real or fake.

[email protected] if you want to ask me more questions.
