This guy scammed me big time! I met him through Equallymatched; a Christian dating site. He is a helicopter mechanic (and will claim to be an inspector as well; but I doubt that is true). I just finished reading a page from romancescam.com on what type of person makes a good victim for these people; boy, did I fit! At least I don't feel so stupid. This guy is smooth....and I liar like I have never known! He set me up so perfectly! And used my Christianity as a tool to get thousands of dollars from me. It is so sad that people like this exist in our world. I believe this guy is in Oregon; Portland area. But he might be in Las Vegas. I don't know how he is remaining employed; of course, if he finds enough victims like me, he doesn't need to work! But if you find any companies with a few helicopters, you might find him lurking around. I suspect he has a drug problem; hence he doesn't seem to want to work for any larger companies that do mandatory testing. Or he has a gambling addiction. I tend to think it's more the latter; and I think he might owe some people in Vegas some money. He does seem to keep on the move a lot and stays in some obscure places.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I might try and recoup any of my losses, please contact me. I have all the moneygram receipts I sent this bum. :!:

Hi biirrd and welcome here. I am sorry to hear that you have been scammed. It is very doubtful that you will be able to recover any of your money at all, unfortunately. Please go to your local police and report the crime.

The Enchantress, one of our advisors, has also posted some information for you on the other thread you started on this scammer, here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2469&start=0

As both threads are on the same topic, I will lock this one to keep the discussion in one place.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492
