He's still out there ladies. I read about him on Scamwarners after sensing he was heading toward an ask for money. He found me on Match. com. He's still using the plot line of being a mineral geologist who lost his wife and son in a car accident, adopted by his stepmother after abuse by his natural father. Moving to the U.S. to start over. He inaccurately described a local area where he planned to live even after reportedly visiting. His poor of use of language and spelling were tips. He did call me once and his emails got more and more affectionate as time went on. He finally called from Dubai after attempting to purchase precious gems of course needing help with penalties because he didn't have the correct paperwork. This delayed his arrival in the U.S. and he only sent the "ask" after he said he had exhausted the help of friends. I played along the more suspicious I got and simply told him I couldn't afford to send money. NO further contact. He did attach photos and I compared those with another scammer detailed online, exact same pics. At least they aren't really smart. Hopefully others will discover the scam before being sucked in. I wasn't thank goodness.

Welcome Katia,

I'm glad you realized the truth before you were scammed. Anything you can post - the actual emails he sent, photos he used, etc. - may help others to avoid being scammed. Scammers tend to use the same scripts and photos repeatedly, even after they change names, so the more that is posted, the better for helping others.

Also, can you post the email address he is currently using?
