Hey
I have unfortunately also been in contact with this man, it was the first time I had contact with someone from Match and he took me of course by storm as he talked about love, we talked for over a month and he was also in England but went over to nigeria to buy cocoa with his daughter Debby .... A big man with money but who so desperately need a mobile that was ann to get where he lived and the credit card of his did not work over the net, so he asked me repeatedly that I had to buy it and send it over, something I did not since I fortunately got to explain that it was more than me that he had contact with. I have unfortunately not taken care of anything other than the telephone numbers of his ... so it will be the only thing I can contribute with..

Hey, amida.
Hope you didn´t pay him either. You can put the phonenumber in here so they can try tracing it. I am still trying to put his photos in here. If we can´t stop these crooks, lets make as much truble as we can.

The best kind of "trouble" you can cause is to expose them here where others can find the information and not be tricked into sending money to the scammer.

Please do not close their email addresses as that is the "handle" we have on them. Beyond that, lets keep exposing them and their tactics.

I couldn't believe (thinking I'm pretty intuitive and smart) that I began to be taken in by this scammer. Happened on POF. I thought it was a bit much at first...but thought Match.com was the dangerous place. This man duplicate every thing I have just been reading in the posts here. Widower,,,yeah right...all alone...i have read so many exact same sentences that I am thinking "they" all have a script to use. How disappointing. And what is with the whole favorite color thing. As well as "love transcends time and space". He use it 3 times. I began to get wise when he ignore certain questions, wouldn't call or give me his phone number and then even finally told me he couldn't call because he was leaving for a business trip to Africa to "buy antiques". I finally realized something was night right and googled his email. Found this person in varied names on scam sites.
Wow...really?? If they look too good to be true...they probably are.

They do, actually. Many scammers use pre-written scripts that they send out in a specific order. Sometimes a whole gang of scammers will use the exact same scripts. Scammers will often continue to use the same series of scripts, even after they change fake names and addresses-that is why we encourage posting the emails, particularly the early ones, because when a name doesn't come up in a search, a line in the script can show that a person is a scammer.

The phonenumber he used to call from england was +447035953253 and from Nigeria +2348078674062.

Not surprisingly, his "England" number starts with 4470. These phone numbers are actually redirect numbers. Calls to those numbers are automatically forwarded to another number virtually anywhere in the world--in this case, the scammer has it programmed to send calls to his cell phone in Nigeria.

Any time you see a 4470 phone number from someone claiming to be in UK, walk away.

Thank you so much for your previous answers, Bubbles
I have 3 more scammers for you, but when they use my @msn.com or @yahoo.com addresses, I can´t get the header to show. Only when they use my private @online.no, and I do not want them to use that one. Those of "my scammers" you have traced, used my online-address. Is there a way to solve this? I want so much more of "my scammers" to be traced. And I have some more stories and pictures to post in here.....

Hi Rosalill,

Each email provider has different ways to access the headers. It your will follow this link and look for the email provider(s) you use, you will find instructions on how to find the headers for that email provider company.

http://www.ip-adress.com/faq/view_email_header/

Most email providers call headers "Original message".

Sadly, we do not get to choose the emails that come to our in box. Scammers have ways of finding any email address through programs which randomly generate email addresses, or from lists they buy. Closing THEIR email accounts will NOT stop them from continuing to send their garbage to the email addresses they either generate or email addresses they purchase.

As I said above, closing their accounts hurts us and not them.
