This is pretty embarrassing and stupid of me overall but I looked for a site I could at least warn others on as myfreecams.com doesnt seem to be interested in doing anything about it (i've mailed them twice and the second mail I had an additional query which they dealt with but completely ignored the frankly more important issue of the scammer)

Anyway. I saw this camgirl on mfc and she was doing a 'meet me' auction on there. As she was relatively speaking near me I thought why not lets go for it, and put in a large amount of tokens for this. Now i (supposedly, i'll never know the truth of it now) lost by 25 tokens to someone else at that time. But got talking to her in PMs afterwards and eventually we arranged to meet separately

This conversation went on to Skype where she gave me her 'address' and I sent her gift money over paypal (a pretty large amount). I also spent a futher amount of money on train tickets.

So on the day I travelled late to get there (3 hour journey) only to find the address I had been given was fake, and because it was already so late I was stuck there overnight with no place to stay until the morning.

On my eventual return I tried to contact this person with completely reasonable emails to try and resolve this between ourselves but got no response. She never even read those emails, then banned me from her room on MFC.

I mailed MFC support but they seem to think its fine to just leave her to go on scamming other people despite the fact i have proof of all these events. It surprises me also given that speaking to Paypal, they suspended this persons account pending investigation, and my bank have launched a dispute claim to get that money back, which frankly was more than I expected (or deserve given my stupidity in this) as i'd basically written off all this money as a loss.

the model account on myfreecams is ilovecamfun ()Link is NSFW). Since MFC isnt interested in doing anything about this, my main concern is making sure this person is not allowed to scam anyone else as she has done to me.

Welcome to Scamwarners, xeron!
Thank-you for posting this information.

I'm really sorry that you lost money to this scammer. It's great that your bank is trying to get the money back for you. That doesn't happen too often, almost never.

Is there any more info that you can post, to leave here for other potential victims to find? Did she give you a name other than ilovecamfun? An email address or phone number? What was the address that she sent you to meet up with her?

You are dealing with a scammer xeron. Staying in contact will not result in anything positive for you. The scammer is pretending to be the person in the photos. The scammer is not a woman, but a man pretending to be a woman.

The profile has been taken down, which is common for scammers too because they are either reported or they use a stolen credit card number to sign up to the site.

Your best course of action is to stop communicating with him. He only wants your money. You can find where where the photos were stolen from by using Google images or tineye.com.

If you have questions please let us know and we will give you the best answer we can.
