Meet at a dating site and two days later his profile was removed by the site When I asked about it he said he had removed it but that was not what was posted on the site. We chatted online and then exchanged phone numbers. I didn't listen to my head - because the calls always sounded like he was on a voice scrambling device. I was out of town on business at the time He sent me a list of questions, the last being "are you financially secure." He claimed his wife died in 2006 and he had two children. He also said he hadn't allowed himself to love until he met me. I believed him but we had not met. Four days before I came home he said he was leaving to go to South Africa...he was a mineral engineer. I asked him what airline he was flying on and when, he told me but when I checked there were no flights leaving on that day or date for Capetown SA. He "called" me from the airport...the next day he called from Capetown on his regular cell, and later had a different number The day after I returned to my home I received a call from him, crying. He hadn't gotten permission to do the mining and now his site was shut down, his workers in jail. He hadn't budgeted for this and was short $26, 000USD. He asked "how much cash do you have on hand." I told him I didn't know and then he told me about his friend who could come up with some of the money but couldn't I come up with the rest. He gave his friend's nameas Antonio Lugo and the phone number as 530-953-0237. When I tried the number, I was told that is was a scam number. When I i/m Robert he became angry and asked how dare I say this about his friend...I tried the number two hours later and surprisingly (not) someone answered who sounded a lot like Robert. He (Antonio) said he was in a meeting and didn't understand why I thought the number was bogus. I did not hear from Robert for several days until he i/m to ask had I gone to the bank yet. Oh he loved me but wanted to know if I was going to help him. I looked for him in the phone book as he had given me his mailing address, there is no address and the closest address, the property is not owned by him I did not send him money and blocked him from emailingme. He says he is Italian, and has a company Robb Albert Minning...(yes with three "N"s) Be warned
