Hi guys.. I am new here and was very thankful I found this site before I even get fooled by a scammer who's asking for $1,250 so that his containers full of luxury cars at the port be cleared by customs in Delta,Africa.. he messaged me first on my facebook account and after a month messaged him back, first I was hesistant but when he told me personal info's, I thought this guy is soooo perfect, and yes Im such a fool to fall inlove with him this fast. I think he already deleted his facebook account but still has his messages. I also have some photos of him but I think it's really not him, but also saw him on webcam. I think I'm also confused? his so good in speaking in English. Is it possible to locate the real owner of the photos he is using? I still have contact with hi m coz his waiting for the money. what should I do? please help...

Here is the messages he sent me on facebook.

Thanks for the response. it was so exciting to hear from you. Well, I know you may be surprised how I got to your profile, would i say i was lucky to come across it cos it came up on my page as people I may know. Thats why I took time to learn a few about you. Just a little about me, I had a white dad and a Spanish mom and we lived in Alhambra, CA. i was 8 when mom divorced my dad and took me with her to Spain. I didn't visit the states that much but I was always in contact with my dad. My mom is late now. I grew up in Spain, had a son from my very first marriage but I lost my wife during child delivery. it was so painful for me and hard for me to move on with life in Spain due to the death on my wife and mom. With this happening, I couldn't move on in Spain, Malaga to be precise, I had to move to the states and start up a new life and also get to meet with my dad once again.

My dad relocated to Dallas, Texas and settled there. The combination of my Dad and i doing things together made my interest about the Autosales business with dad because in Spain I studied real estate management and I have been working with that over there, within the space of 5 years but unfortunately my aged dad died when undergoing a medical transplant operation. it came as a blow to my face and I couldn't help it, very painful because I didn't spend much time with my dad when I was little and wanted to always be with him now and learn more from him.My son is 14years now and he is in boarding school now.I will be glad to hear your voice on phone as well and I will love to be open to you,all I seek here on face book is a woman of my dream and someone I can grow old and share the best of life with as one family again. My dear I love the way you express your self in regards to the age issue,I really want to tell you that I am not a young man as well, although I have a baby face, LOL. I knew you are not young either that is why I came for you because I truly want a woman who knows what it takes to be in love and in a relationship, not this young ladies that are jumping around,I am a GOD fearing man who respects the lord and I have been longing to meet someone to love and be with,so please feel free with me because I know that age is just a number.
Anyway, that's enough about me for now. Can we get to chat so we can know more about each other?
Let me know as i patiently wait for your response.
Have a great week.
Ray

Good morning, I sincerely apologize for the email I sent you. Never knew it will lead to this extent. I hope you can forgive me as its the devil at work here. I had access to my boss's pc and there i got this lovely message he sent you, so I did send you same. I can't even explain the mystery behind this all but pls help me plead with my boss as I am at the verge of loosing my job. I have been suspended indefinitely for my selfishness as he feels I have hacked his privacy.

Pls forgive me and help me beg my boss. I know you own his heart and can talk it out with him. God bless you as you help out.

sincerely

Hi new789,

Well done on figuring out this for the scam that it is.

If you do a Google on the first sentance of the first message that he sent you, you will see that it is a common script that has been used with other email addresses.

The best thing to do now is to break off all contact with him and block him on your email.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Oh my! you were right! I can't believe this, it even came from a nigerian blogging site.

thank you AlanJones, and yes I will block him from now on, his even still begging and calling me for the money.

I will be posting some info's I got from him for future reference, and I hope to help somehow..

As difficult as it is, I'm glad you discovered the truth before you lost a lot of money.

but also saw him on webcam. I think I'm also confused.

Webcam can be faked. All it takes is existing video of the person and the right software (which many scammers have these days). What this means is that the real person is the photo is either an actor or someone who posts a lot of videos online (e.g. someone who uses youtube a lot). The scammer has probably downloaded online videos of this man and then used them to create the fake webcam. The real person in the photos will have absolutely nothing to do with the scam, and is very likely married or not looking for a romance right now--the scammer simply took advantage of the materials on the internet.

I expect the mods will take off all the email addresses you listed NEW789 except the scammers, however they are of use to the inner/hidden work of Scamwarners.
Even if the scammer did have a container of cars, which is unlikely, there is some grain of truth there. In UK and elsewhere, expensive 4 wheel drive vehicles are stolen to order. They spend a few days in lockup having the VIN and other numbers altered and are then packed into a crate for export to other countries and then redistributed for sale as a legal vehicle. The scammer is only giving info about what other crime he is involved in, as it is familiar ground to him.
Indeed he did send you a message for someone else, they often screw up like this. However as was said, ignore him and send nothing and he will vanish.
