The first email I received in response to my dining room set for sale was a simple email asking if it was still available. This is the second email I received:

John William" <[email protected]>
Hello

My assistant told me that you still have the item 4 sale,I will pay
your asking price. I will likely make payment by check or money order
as its the only way I can pay you at the moment (I am actually out of
the States on a business trip). I will make arrangement for pick-up
after payment has been received by you. I dont mind adding a little
extra thirty ($30) dollars so you can keep it in my favor.you should
get your payment in 4-6 working days, Please keep it in my favor.
Kindly reply with your full name, cell phone number, and address where
payment should be sent,i will appreciate if you can get the ad off
craigslist so i can be sure you are keeping it in my favor .Awaiting
your reply. Best regards

I originally agreed reluctantly to remove the item off craigslist for a money order then read all the posts here and declined the offer to sell.

Welcome to ScamWarners kjcohen. We are pleased we could help you. Yes, you are taking the right course of action. Ignore any future correspondences. If you receive anything, like a check, do not deposit it into your account. It is a forgery and you would lose the money you send them when they cancel the otder and tell you to keep the $30.00

Move on and best of luck selling your item.
