Hi
I've also been scammed, and then I discovered I can do a reverse image search on Google.
So I traced the profile pic that was used to the owner on Facebook.
Other than that, I've also traced this profile pic to other dating websites, and reporting him where ever I can.

So please, if you can do yourselves a favour and reverse image search the images of people who are contacting you. Also, Google Nigerian dating scam & romance scams, and get yourselves familiar with the strategy they are using. Report them immediately if you suspect anything. So far, I haven't been wrong when reporting a possible scammer.

It's a pitty, we only learn from our mistakes. But we can try and warn people about this.

Hi Gerry, you can go to https://www.google.co.uk/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi and upload your image. However, I guess that it would only show results from social network sites if the user has allowed their details to be public. I'm guessing even scammers aren't that dumb.

I could be wrong about all of this, however :D
