I have recently joined an online site https://www.elance.com, where I posted a job which was awarded to CHRIS MUGISHA (aka: webhack) Chris Mugisha was awarded and paid for a job he never did. After being paid 300$ and not lifting a finger, he had the courage to ask me for an exrta 200$.
This Job is presently in dispute. However I know I will most likely never see the money I paid out for this job (300$) Subsequently I did some in depth research online and discovered that Chris Mugisha has been reported for various online scams.

Chris Mugisha is present and operating on various online sites such as ELANCE and
oDesk and wubb. He is not to be trusted. He has ripped of many people before me and will continue to do so for as long as he can.

u release the jobs because am moving to work on it today
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
I am willing to release payment immediately as soon as job is complete!
The deal is as follows and as described on site
Once the contractor completes the work and requests payment for a milestone, the client has 15 days to review the work and release funds from escrow.

to me
look here i have cut for you the price from 500 to 300 and i have decided to do the entire job for you at 300, and even when you release the funds now it will be put on hold by elance for 5 business days so i will not access the funds even in a weeks time
but right now am going to start the job and have it done even before getting the funds. so i can NOT do the job FREELY sorry so u release it now

maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
I had no intentions of having you do the job freely. You are asking me to trust you without giving me any guarantees, whereas I have shown my willingness by posting the funds requested. What would you do in my place? Meet me halfway. You say you will delete both blog and google search results for 300. Do at least half the job and I will release payment immediately. Work with me and we will both be happy at the end of the day.

to chris
In my elance payment info, says the 300$ have been released to you.
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
Never used western union or money gram sorry. However it's too late now as the money has been taken from my credit account and made available via PayPal and Elance directly to you (webhack). Hope you will honor our agreement.
Sincerely,
Maddalena

As you can see in the screen shot below it clearly states the funds will clear in 4 days. I will withdraw the funds before end of day tomorrow if the job is not completed. Sorry, but I have been contacted by several others available to do the job immediately at the same price. You decide whether you want this or not.

if you know that the funds will clear in 4days why do u put me on pressure to work ?????????????????????????????????????????????

Don't fuck with me. Do the job and there will be no dispute. You don't stand a chance unless you get the work done !

chris hacker

1 Dec

to me
as i had promised early during the day i was starting working on the job and suddenly i saw the dispute
and i stopped immediately to respond to it, u seemed to me that you are not serious after i promising and starting the job
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
You don't seem to understand that I am the only one who stands to lose here. If you get the job done i will withdraw and cancel the dispute. You accused me of being a scammer when I obviously, in good faith released the funds before you started the job, contrary to what Elance recomends. I have been honest and straightforward. The only reason I decided to work with you is because a network like elance provides a certain measure of safety against scams. I repeat, you get the job done and I immediately cancel the dispute. Your choice.
chris hacker

1 Dec

to me
if you want me to resume the job which i was going to finish this
night close the dispute now and inform me
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
What am I to believe? You wrote me that you did not work weekends and then asked me why I was pressuring you to do the job? Then you tell me that you started the job, which I have no way of verifying. Why should I trust someone who is so unprofessional and whose terms are not at al clear? I am not closing the dispute until the job is done. No way, not after you wrote in your response to Elance dispute that you had Already finished the job and that I was am a scammer. Your behavior has not been proper and I don't trust you. If you want the 300 you get the job done. If you do not want to to the job on my terms, then you close the dispute by refusing the job, since you have nothing to loose.

1 Dec

to me
i kept reminding you i do not work on weekends but due to promise i
told early that i must work on it today thus i decided let me work
simply because of my promise and i was working even i had already got
the password to login to delete then i got your email dispute i said
wow am busy working and this is opening disputes unbelieveble

Well if you already have pw it is just a matter of minutes to delete the post as requested. Do it and I will cancel dispute...and you will have yr money from elance on December 4th. The money is there and you know it.
chris hacker

1 Dec

to me
once the dispute is closed u email me i go ahead to delete
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

1 Dec

to chris
I don't feel comfortable with this arrangement. i don't believe you are able to do the job, which is why you have been stalling all day.
What you are saying is you will only do the job if I close the dispute?

chris hacker

1 Dec

to me
u have a problem of understanding or you have problem with English language
i told you , as i promised you i will do the job against my NOT working on weekend, and I DID THE JOB
when i had got the passwords ready to make the entire deleting, you were fucking opening up disputes, you looked to me like a scammer.
so now its upto you, if you want me to delete the info i already have the password, then i see the dispute and i do it in 10 minutes
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

to chris
I would appreciate it if you could refrain from insulting me. You don't trust me and I don't trust you. I have already spent 300 $ and the work is not done. the money is frozen with Elance. We are both wasting time. I will obviously have to give this job someone else from elance.

Hello Chris, seeing as tomorrow we have a conference call via Elance to resolve our dispute I propose the following.
You get the job done before the call on Friday, which gives you 2 days to do it, and I will instruct Elance to pay you immediately. The money is still there and either you get it or someone else willing to do the job will get it. Think about it, it is the simplest and quickest way to resolve this dispute. This is my final offer.

the funds cleared and i withdrew the money already since you released
them. now about the dispute i do not care about it because i already
got funds
maddalena di gregorio <[email protected]>

to chris
You took the money without doing the work and now you want me to delete the dispute.
If you were in my place would you not have filed a dispute ?
just do the job PLEASE, you can do it now and as soon as it is done I will delete the dispute.
I have no other way of protecting my interest.
What do you have to loose ?
You have the money, do the job and I get rid of the dispute...and there is no conference call tomorrow, it's simple.
I have already done alot, and certainly more than you have, I paid you before you did the work, you have done nothing but stress me out.

chris hacker

to me
look the conference call will not get you any good because money was released from escrow , it cleared and i withdrew it to my bank , so it was late for you.
and now for me to finish it this, the dispute must be off, and if you want elance to remove the dispute at last resort still i will not FINISH because it wasnt you who removed, you are fighting losing war, i wish you understand for your own good
by hardwork Wed Jan 09, 2013 7:39 pm
Elance was good for my Outsourcing business for awhile then I was hit by scammers that use their site for free work then when I tired to put in a dispute (which is their process so you can get paid since these clients have passed their screening) they decided not only to not pay me but suspend my business account with them which I was paying $30 a month for…
It’s a shame that this company would go against there own policies to save money, but if they do it enough to many freelancers then we are talking about huge money here

Never use elance. The contractors on their are horrible. One guy did nothing and elance would not make him refund my money!

His name is John Cantu.
