Having posted my details on the dating website BADOO I was contacted by a US Army Captain - supposedly on special mission in Afghanistan.
Captain Kelvin Mitchelle Andrea.
Initially I was flattered - well who wouldn't be. Then on closer inspection of the photographs he had sent me alarm bells began to ring. They were of different men. All very good looking. All in uniform
Anyway I told him that I was aware he was a scammer and after many denials from him I continued to talk to him. He said he was widowed with a 10 year old son who live with his mother in a town not far from where I live. He even appeared on video link a couple of times too. I was almost convinced that he was for real when I asked if I could send him something in the post. I asked for his APO address and was informed that because he was undercover (!) the US Army didn't allow any contact with fiances or family - by this time he had proposed to me.... ding ding ding...... Then I asked if he could call me and again... the US Army didn't allow contact etc etc etc. I know this to be total BS. He said he was arranging leave and sent me a confirmation form from KLM asking me to pay for his flight.... ding ding ding.... He then demanded I send him £1800 via Western Union to an address in Texas...... not care of the US Army??? ding ding ding.... by this time the alarm bells were so loud I'm sure you could hear them on the moon. Needless to say I refused any assistance claiming that I did not have a pot to pee in myself so how could I help him.
This guys email address is [email protected]
I discovered this mans photos on other dating sites under various names Darby Jones, Roli Vorhee, Bernard Darby to name but a few. Some of the photos he had used were off another US Army Officers MYSPACE account. He also has several Facebook Accounts - Kelvin Andrea is another name he (whoever he is) has....
