Romance Scam

This person is on POF as Micheal Jason Barton email [email protected]. He states he lost his wife and son 3 yrs ago and was ready to start dating again. States he is a civil engineer and lives in Los Angeles Cal. He is really in Ravenal S.Carolina and a known scammer he was found out by his photo that he had sent to me, was also on this web site. P. S. H e also claims to be a Pentecostal Christian, and wants a God fearing woman in his life. I think we need to nail him on the cross for his sins to women, what do you all think of that???

Unfortunately, what you have posted is not sufficient information. We need more information--for example emails he sent you and photo he used, in order to create a comprehensive profile and prove he is a scammer.

If the photos are already posted here, it is most likely an African scammer. It is very unlikely that he is in South Carolina. It is more likely that if his IP address leads to S. Carolina, it is a proxy. We would need headers from one or more of his emails to say for sure. American phone numbers used by these scammers are typically VOIP or magic jack, both of which allow the scammer to operate from another country while pretending to be in the US.

HI I cannot beleive that I almost fell for A man who calls himself Stephan Bohm, He has copied and pasted so many of the same emails I see on here. I felt as if something was off but then he looked at my website through my email Now he has my work address. and pics of me and my child. What do I do? I will upload a pic of him for you to use. His email is [email protected]. He says he is a Human Resource mANAGER and is working IN Turkey. But now lives in a small community close to mine. Which really sent red flags as the description was something from google maps.wow Im still feeling very naive.

Thank you for posting his email address here. If you could post his initial email and header, along with any pictures he sent, it will help warn others. As far as him having your work address and pictures, there is not much you can do at this point. Just drop contact with him and he will move on to his next victim. Do not inform him that you know he is a scammer, he will just deny it.

scammer on Blackberry

REgarding email from a Curtis Scaparrotti. From ZOOSK dating site. he contacted me with romantic introduction. His email is [email protected]..
After reading some of these posts I am afraid I too have been in a scam. This just started a few days ago and I have deleted him off IM

He said he was in Kubul Afganistan and soon to come back to US. and wanted to have a woman to come back to. His wife had died of lung cancer..He said Cancer of the lung...I thought was strange way of saying it. He said he had two kids boy and girl in Ohio. He never said anything personal..It was all about what I was looking for etc. He did not answer many personal questions. Just general ones and then kept going back to what a good man he was, and he was looking for love and trust and ....blah blah blah...
I thought it was a bit odd, a man graduating from West Point was on a dating website.......looking for a woman... I would think a General in Army would have no problem getting a date!!
I search his name ..found the real General Curtis Scaparrotti is in Washington DC as joint Chief of Staff...
That was red flag #2...
Then I found this warning from ScamWarners. THANK YOU

He only forwarded me pictures of himself that were ones you can get off the internet..nothing personal..all professional photos.

I will report this on the dating site!
