I put the ad up on Monday and what do you know a bite within 2 hours 25/2/2013

..I am very keen. How i wish i could come for viewing and inspection as am currently overseas at the moment and i want it picked up before i get back. Due to my inability to make a bank deposit, I would be paying via PayPal which is safer for me or bank transfer as well safe. Kindly send me a paypal payment invoice or create an account at http://www.paypal.com if you dont have one or your bank details for me to make payment. I will make a concrete pick up arrangement with my transport agent who will be coming over for pick up once you receive full payment into your PayPal account. Have a nice day.

Cheers and pls inform other buyers you sold it as am ready to purchase it right away....Arthur

You can check your e-mail or junk/spam for confirmation of payment.a total of $4,700.00 was sent, $4,000.00 for the merchandise and the extra $600.00 for the shipper's and $100.00 for western union charges, which you will be sending to the address below via western union

Name: Anandkumar Palanisamy
Address: 34 Jalan Hang Lekiu

I advice you to check both your inbox or junk folder for the payment confirmation message..The shipper would be coming around to your area to have the merchandise picked up once you have sent the shipping charges fee to them, as i need you to let me know what time you want them to come and where (your address & phone # you can be reached on)

I will be waiting to hear from you once the money has been sent to my shipper.

Welcome to Scamwarners and well Googled Cherrylipz77.

It's an absolute classic scam from the very outset, with the buyer claiming to be abroad, which is probably the only truthful thing he ever says. :D

Anandkumar Palanisamy occurs in this scam too

http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&p=152788

.... and is having a lean time at the moment. He's most likely a local associate of the scammer because it's too risky for an African/Nigerian to hang around Western Union offices in Malaysia, as the Malaysian authorities are quite hard on scammers they catch. Having a local to help them makes them less conspicuous.

The 'shipper' is his buddy in Malaysia who he will share the cash with and the PayPal message was spoofed and no money was ever sent to you. The scammer spends all day every day sending out messages agreeing to buy things so that he can hope to get one or two a week to fall for it.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle

Hi Steve2013, Welcome to the site. What do you mean by "to report this to scamwarners they want $45 payment to process the complaint?" This is scamwarners and it is totally free to post here.
by Scott Mitchell Mon Mar 25, 2013 5:49 pm
Steve2013, if anybody is asking you to pay $45 to report fraud, then they are a scammer as well. As Clair said, our website is FREE and always will be. Please post any emails or websites directing you to pay this fee, so we can have them investigated.

It was an ad on this site between the postings - will edit original posting, i accept this was part of ad choices that utilises your site to promote other interests and not a scamwarners initiative.

Thank you Google and scammers.com. Just had the Micahel Seay experience just as everyone describes. He sent me 2 texts from the same mobile number but with different user names - not very suffisticated but he seems to be persistent. He used mobile number +61428465117 and user names nic19 and Michael Seay. Email addresses [email protected] and [email protected].

All he has is my mobile number and email address so I will keep looking for a genuine buyer for my car.

Hello and welcome to Scamwarners Lord.

Thank you for posting the email addresses and phone number the scammer used.

My advice would be for you to sell your car face to face with cash. I would do this in a public place.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me. Happy to do the transaction via PayPal but I won't release the car until the funds have cleared in to my account.
It must be quite exciting working out in Darwin on the rigs. Surely you can get a car out there though? It seems unusual that you'd like to buy a car from Melbourne for Darwin...

Michael Seay

Ok no problem with that once you confirm the money we will both arrange a suitable date and time for the pick up and
i would have love to come see it in person but due to
the nature of my work.my agent will come for the
inspection and also do the signing of the paper work and all
the necessary papers needed to be signed.get back to me
with your payment details so that i can proceed with the
payment asap as i will like it delivered to my place
before my arrival.
thanks.
