She has no food or money, but she has internet access? Nigeria is not the US. There aren't "free WiFi" spots on every corner. If she has internet, it is costing money, which is interesting coming from someone claiming to have none.
If this is the same "Becky Catino" with a profile on Badoo claiming to be from Mississippi, then yes, it is a scam. An American citizen stranded in Nigeria would go to friends, family, their bank, credit card company, or the American embassy for help, not some stranger "she" met on the internet. If "she" has traveled halfway around the world then "she" certainly has one or more of these options (and ALL American citizens can go to the embassy for help.)
Only in the imaginations of African scammers does an attractive American or European travel to another country, strike up random internet relationships, then in a moment of crisis collect hundreds or thousands of dollars from internet lovers.
