-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you visit the listed site, you see the company name listed as Phoenix Infotech. It tries to get you to register to become eligible for work from home, data entry jobs. Registration costs money (they say to cover administrative and server charges) and it's quite outrageous with the upper tier of registration costing $65! Things that give this away as a scam are...
1 - Very poor grammar used in the Elance posting as well as on the website.
2 - Aesthetically, the website is very remedial. Looks like something I used to create on my Angelfire account, using my WebTV, over 15 years ago during the internet boom.
3 - The website is hosted by webyana.com, a free website hosting service.
4 - The cost of registration is ridiculous. Administrative charges? They are advertising themselves as an administrative support company....really? Server charges? They are using a free website hosting service!
When I did a search for Phoenix Infotech, I found this post. Beyond replying to this post I have done the following...
1 - Reported it to Elance.com. I have used Elance for a couple of months now and hold their business in high regards. I believe once they receive report of this activity, they will respond accordingly. I asked that the posting be removed and the user banned.
2 - Reported it webyana.com. I have no experience with this business, but would expect them to honor my request to have the website removed and user banned as well.
Admin note: Split from Infotech money laundering scam - these are typical work-from-home data entry scams, different type than original topic.
