I recently had a rough break up with my fiance and after a month and a half decided to go onto a dating site. I really just wanted a friend to take walks with and talk to, even stated that in my profile. On August 4 I went on and deleted my acct, or so I thought. That night I received a friend request on facebook from a Leahy Michael, I had just put a post about a soldier up on my site, so I thought maybe he was a friend of a friend. He said he was in Syria, I friended him. August 5, he loves me, asked me to send a leave request to [email protected], stating that I want him to have leave to talk about important issues, that I will be responsible for any charges due to this leave, as I am going to be his wife. I humored him for a while, and believe me after what I've been through lately, I wanted it to be true so bad I'm almost embarrassed. I asked him what that meant, he said that there was an insurance fee of 948.00 that would be refunded back to me. I knew this couldn't be possible, but I talked him anyway, it was nice to hear how much I meant to him, even though it wasn't true. Today I finally told him that I had him, knew his game and that it is sad to think of humanity sinking that low, I feel sorry for the scum! He needs to realize the impact this is making on peoples lives, not just because of the fact that they are stealing, because they are praying on vulnerable, sometimes depressed individuals that might not be able to bounce back from the hope that was instilled in them by these smooth talkers.

Could you post the emails from Michael, including his address?

There is no way for you to make him realize anything. Scammers' minds are not like ours. It's better to simply ignore him and post his messages in public.
