Wasn't going to follow this up with anything but deleting the person from my skype until I stumbled upon this site so, here goes.
I've used Skype for years on and off and have never heard of any scam attempts until now. I only use skype to talk to a couple people across the states so I never have any kind of information on there except my last name. This morning I got a IM from a Leena Johnson, a "staffer" whatever that means, in a bank in Ghana, Africa, telling me that she had a client with the same last name and nationality pass away in 2004. He had left X amount of dollars in his acct and with no immediate family to claim this she was looking for someone to step in and split the dough before the local government took it. There were a few more details but nothing more than a yahoo email to get in touch with her and some what sincere comments about the late man and his family that had passed. After I stopped fantasizing about a bay boat I deleted and blocked her not thinking I would need to copy and paste the IM here. I looked through the forums here and found nothing about this type of scam and thought I might save someone a disappointing trip to Africa.

Welcome to Scamwarners! This sounds like a typical next-of-kin scam. Could you post the message and the address of the sender?
