Hi Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this as it's about film finance scams but if it helps just one person save money then it's worth it.

While trying to raise finance for a low budget film I have handed over 3 lots of money in advance to 3 different sets of people, the first 2 were £8,000 and £6,000 I am trying to get that money back so won't mention them.
But the next people (delete their names that's how this forum works) Chris and Lee .

Sadly I handed over £3,000 in advance on the promise they would introduce me to an investor, once they had the money all they done was introduce me to a friend of theirs and then try to charge me even more.

I was introduced to them by someone I hardly know but he said if it went wrong he would repay me, guess what he's now backing out and telling me to get the money from lee and chris.
I had recorded the conversation with the guy i hardly know (it is legal if it is one on one and not sent to anyone else, except a court) so I will have to take him to court.
My advice for anyone seeking finance through a broker is NEVER EVER hand money over, no matter how good they blag and complain they won't help if you don't give them money, walk away.
Thank you to the creator of this forum, it's helped me vent my anger.
