Hi jbernes,

I'm sorry to hear you were scammed. Thank you for posting the details, it will help save others. What this is is a classic electronics scam. A few things to look out for when purchasing electronics (or anything) online:

* Avoid Western Union at all costs. The payments are untraceable and are a favourite tool of scammers.
* Avoid Chinese sites. Sure, there are legitimate chinese electronics sites but for every real site there are millions of fake sites. It's best to just stay away from them.
* If the price is too good to be true, it means it's fake. Especially with popular products the demand for them is so high that prices will never drop this low.

When buying electronics, I strongly advise to either do the purchases in person, or on the websites of the actual companies.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

I'm sorry to say that if you go looking for bargains by buying online from companies you've never heard of, you're going to get ripped off.

You have to be very wary about buying online as there are lots of impostors pretending to be big name companies, so when you use an unknown company from a country where you know you have no chance of getting your money back, using an untraceable means of payment, you were destined to lose your money. I don't mean to be unsympathetic. I'm just stressing the risks for anyone else who reads this post.

There are literally thousands of these websites offering mouth watering deals that can't possibly be genuine.
