I received a scam job offer from a company claiming they are Russneft-UK and they sent an offer in UK. They are using the same old trick of having their lawyer preparing the Work Permit. This trick is 10 years old and I dont think that there are still people who could fall for it. I saw other user also posting simmilar announcement.
For whoever did not face such a situation, the trick goes as follows:
1- You receive an email to submit CV.
2- You receive an application form to be filled.
3- Then, without interview, you get an offer. This is the sign of scam.
4- They direct you to a lawyer for preparing a work permit with re-imbursable charges.
this is the email:
This is to inform you that you have been offered a position with the
RussNeft - United Kingdom. Your title is stated in the attached offer
letter.
Details of offer and benefits have been stated in the enclosed offer
letter. Your eligibility for other benefits and bonus potential will
take place per company policy. On arrival, you may discuss other
benefits, pension plan etc. with a H.R staff.
*IMPORTANT: We will like to state clearly, as per the United Kingdom
labour laws and company policy, the company will pay your relocation
allowance, reimbursement of moving expenses including immigration costs
AFTER completion of immigration process. If you are not in acceptance,
PLEASE do not sign the offer.
We are confident you will be able to make a significant contribution to
the success of RussNeft - United Kingdom and look forward to working
with you. If this offer is accepted, the signed offer letter will be
sent to the board for final endorsement.
Please indicate your acceptance of the offer by signing below and
returning one copy of this letter to me, with your original signature,
so we can begin your onboarding process. Acceptance must be received
within the next three working days to indicate your acceptance of this
offer.
