I went to the booking office with some cash and my money orders,but when i got there the agent made me understand that the cash i was with wouldn't be enough for my flight back to the states,so i proceeded to the local banks down here to get some of my money orders cashed so as to balance up the flight fee but when i got there,the bankers made me to know that the banks here are only local banks so i was advice to get back to the states before i can get it cashed.

I am so pissed off and tired now ________, i went back to the traveling agent to explain things to her but she insisted that i should get the remaining fund before my flight can be completed to you in Reagan National Airport. Unfortunately,my Grandma is too old and she does not have the money to help me plus i can only have access to my father's property when i get back to state...I have paid almost all the flight fee,,just remaining only 580$ to complete it to you in Reagan National Airport this Sat, can you help borrow me the remaining $580 to complete my flight and i will cash my money order as soon as i arrive to you and refund you.

My scammer came from Myspace and was pretty much the same as this one. He said he had a daughter who was only 14 and he let her talk to me too. I fell in love with her and then he said he needed to come home to me and start our new life together but he would need almost 3000.00 wired to him in Africa where he was working so he could start work sooner and get back to me sooner. Here is how he started his letter to me the first time I heard from him.

He said his name was Tom Dyson and his daughtger was Rose. The pictures he sent me looked so familiar but I couldnt' place who they were. I know I have seen them befofore though. When he asked for the money I told him I knew it was a scam and he claimed to be so hurt that I didn't trust him. He said that Rose would be hurt also. I will never go to myspace again.

I like that u wrote so much about how u feel and more so how u feel about helping with the balance of my flight ticket back home but unwilling to.I want you to know one thing and that is for you to know and have in mind that i will never do a thing to tarnish my image as a missionary, yes there are alot of bad people around but as many as they are so are the good people with kind hearts.I got so many emails from the dating site but got moved by urs not because it was lenghty but because i felt at ease with it and believe me its a sign that the lord is in this.Now do u know most times when the children of God have found something good in life there comes a doubtful mind? thats the devil telling not to go ahead.Like i said earlier i deposited some money to the travelling agency which i need to balance up $350 before i get out of here the same day please help us achieve this and i will gladly pay u back as i have no doubt that we are on the right track. I had so much joy to see that u had written to me and i still do as i write this email,its so strange why i feel this way with u and i refuse to doubt all u have said cause i know this is the lords doing.I have been lonely here and crying all day because i have no one but you,i wish i had known you before coming down here and its really sad that i have money like i dont have.the ministry payed me off already which i have my paycheck but it cant be cash here in this country i am because its an american check and it can only be cash in the states.I am willing to cash it when i get to you,so in that case kindly email me your phone number and your home address so that i can write it down on my diary and call you when i get to the airport,and i hope and pray you help me with that,perhaps we could stay together and live a good life.

Let me ask u this,do u feel at ease replying my emails? do u feel u are okay with the things i do in life and all i have written? do u think this is what u want in life or what u have been looking for in a lady of ur choice? If yes then why dont u say yes to helping to the success of this as money should not be an obstacle in this.I am so happy about this meeting and been praying u have a change of mind in helping make this work, for i will more than happy to see to the progress of this.I want to reassure u that i am who i say i am.We can both get an apartment when i get to you because I will cash my paycheck the same day i get to the states so that we can both have money to spend.

It's a scam.

Besides the textbook scammer storyline (and I do mean textbook), the English tells me the author is African, while the statement about the check tells me that "she" (more likely "he") is claiming to be American.

will i get in trouble with the law if i send him a worm? if he is a scammer... would they say goodjob to me? lol

Yes, you would get in trouble--shipping regulations and all that.

Scammers have no emotional investment in their scams. To them, it's all about money. They may pretend to love their victims, but the truth is, not only do they not love them--they don't even see them as real people, only a source of money. So the if you want to get revenge on a scammer, the most appropriate way is to cost them money.

The best thing you can do is drop "her" and post "her" information here--email addresses, emails "she" sent (especially early ones), photos used--without telling the scammer that you know he is fake or that you posted him. This way, he will likely go on scamming his other victims using the same information. Having it posted greatly increases the likelihood that other victims will find out that "she" is a scammer and will walk away, causing the scammer to lose more money.

The reason you don't tell him is because he is likely to change his name and information if he knows he has been exposed, which will take him all of 5 minutes. And, he won't tell you the truth anyway--he'll just continue his denial or feed you a new pack of lies. If he keeps scamming using the same information, you will ultimately have more impact.
