I received this email too, and as I've applied to websites that allows employers to check you email, I thought it was from one of those. I contacted them on friday and recieved the following email today, which makes me think it could be a way to launder money.

Thank you for your interest in this vacancy.. Here is a brief job
description:
When our company just opened in 2004 we planned to sell only Moravian
wine, but now we are selling wines and spirits from 47 countries over
the world. Our head office is located in Prague, but we have offices in
Russia, USA, and Poland as well.
For the last couple of months there have been loads of orders for our
production from the UK shops, restaurants, and hotels. That is why we
decided to hire a couple of representatives to work for our company in
UK. If you become an employee of our company your main
responsibility as a sales manager will be to deal with already existing
clients and expand our market and look for new clients as well. There
will be an office opened in London in the beginning of June, but you’ll
probably have to go there just once in a month just to submit the
reports. For the rest of the time you will keep in touch with them by
phone and by e-mail. But we decided to start hiring the representatives
now so that by the time the office opens we can have a fully trained
team. So I don’t think there should be a problem if we start your trial
with us being situated here in Czech Republic and you being in the UK.
For the first month you will be provided with some training which will
be carried out probably personally by me, I will be on the phone with
you practically every day, and you will try to start working as well,
you will try to start taking orders from our customers and sometimes you
might even deal with finances if the order will be successful. The thing
is that sometimes there are some situations when there is an urgent
order, but it takes more than 5 working days to complete an
international bank transfer. So sometimes it is easier when a client
sends the payment straight to our local representative, and the
representative sends it to us by one of the money transfer systems. For
these purposes, corporate bank account will be opened for you as soon as
we open the office. Before that time you might be asked to receive some
minor payments to your account. As well as that you will need to read
some literature about wines and spirits. I will send you the literature
as soon as we start working with you. As well as that we will provide
you with login and password for the corporate e-mail address for you to
lead the correspondence with our clients from the UK.
So if you are interested in a trial please read the Employment Agreement
attached to this letter, sign it and send it back by e-mail. Our
director will sign it here and send back to you within the next couple
of days, so that we can start the trial ASAP.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to write me the e-mail
and I will be glad to provide you with all the necessary information.

Best regards,
Karel Vitek,
General Manager.

Welcome here Kitten1968

Yes, you are right. This is a money laundering / processing scam where you will be the middle man to receive payments from other scam victims, and foreward these payments to the scammer. A legitimate company would never work this way. There is no real job, it's just a scam! The website is likely to be fake aswell, our experts will investigate it.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

i am glad i saw your post i was contemplating signing a contract with these guys but then i felt uncomfortable about the personal account being used to transfer money on behalf of their business plus their list of wines shows a want of descriptive detail - i hope no one falls into this trap

Hi there kitten1968,

I am really interested in the headers of that email, could you please post them here? If you are unsure about what headers are or how to find them, just tell us which email provider you use and we'll explain. Those headers contain valuable evidence for us to get the site offline. Thanks!

No, that's not the header. This is how you can find them when using hotmail:

* Go to your inbox
* Right-click on the email of which you want the headers (don't open it)
* Click on 'View message source'

A new window will open with the headers. Your own email adress may appear in it a few times so be sure to check them. Thanks! :D

Hi everyone...I have recieved the exact same email...I realised it must be a scam cause ive been searching for jobs for nearly three years now and never in my life did i get posted by email a contract to sign before a single interview face to face or even on the phone. CAN YOU HELP ME CAUSE I INITIALLY SENT BACK THE APPLICATION FOR WHICH ASKED FOR EDUCATION HISTORY...PREVIOUS EMPLOYEEE AND REFFERENCE, NAME AND ADDRESS. im woried they could do something with that. What should i do about the email sent now which is a s follows: (should i just delete the email and not reply ever to any emails from the scammers ever in the future?? i havent signed the agreement and sent it back. Just the initial application. Im guessing others did this initial step too to get to the second email response. Are we safe. What should we do. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. PS the website of prague wines is up and running currently. its listed below. can someone shut down the website??

Welcome makaveli,

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. The scammers ask for the resume, job history, etc. because it makes them look more like real employers. They don't actually care what's in it, as all they really want is someone to cash their fake checks or launder their scam proceeds. You may see an increase in the number of scam offers, but that's about the extent of it.

Our site killers are working on getting the site closed down now that they have the headers they need as evidence.
