Hello dlovell and welcome to ScamWarners.

The "job" is a scam because no legitimate company would employ someone to receive money in their personal bank account and send it to someone else by Western Union, which is what this job entails. Add to that the fact that the company's website was only set up at the end of April and it scream scam.

Could you post up the email that you recieved from them (including the headers), as this will help us to get the fake website shut down.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

I too received the same e-mail from a Mr Jeff. When I sent a reply requesting further information, the sender's name had changed to Jeff Olson, but the e-mail address was the same.

On the website, it states an address in Denton, Greater Manchester. According to Companies House (or perhaps it was another website, as I checked several), Outsourcing Sales Ltd was dissolved.

IT Pitstop's website will be shut down soon. Any time you see "Financial Forwarding Coordinator", it's a money mule or money launderer. FFCs take payments from scam victims (what the victim thinks the money is for and what the FFC thinks it's for are totally different) and forward them to scammers by Western Union or MoneyGram.

I am actually posting this on behalf of a friend. Unfortunatley due to the job market at present he jumped in with two feet and has signed up for the job, giving details only of his sort code and account number, and othere general personal details.

Who does he contact to stop this happening, is there and ombudsman, has anyone else done this. Need help pretty quick as would not want anyone to be caught up in a money laundering scam.

Any help and advice would be great.

Thanks
