It's fake. Travel agents do not arrange work visas, do not ask for payment by Western Union, and do not have phone numbers beginning +44-701.

ETA: The whois record of the domain shows obviously that it's fake. It is going to be reported for fraud.

Both the "company" website and the "travel agent website" are a week old, registered using clearly fake details.

What this means is that the scammers are simply playing both fake roles, using one role to convince you the other is real.

As the other forum members have indicated the scammer is hoping to steal your money by means of a false non-existant employment opportunity. For future reference, any re-direct phone number beginning with 4470 is a huge warning sign. A better explanation about them can be seen viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13567

Woaah  Thanks a lot guyz...I almost got duped into thinking this could be real looking at the company's website!! Thank God I posted this issue here...Something seemed fishy because of the money transfer and british travels site...and so I did! Thanks a lot everyone!

Btw @Dotti, how did you get all that website info?? Is there any way we can look for ourselves??
by vonpaso xlura Wed Aug 22, 2012 12:47 pm
Yes. Just type "whois british-travels.com" on the command line.

Or you can go to a site like this one: http://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx and put in the domain name you want to check out. Then just check domain whois record.

But, even if you research on your own and avoid the scam, please do come back and post them here, to alert other potential victims and our site killers, who will work to get the fake sites closed down.

btw which is this command line you say?
by vonpaso xlura Thu Aug 23, 2012 8:36 am
It's where you type commands to the computer and it runs them; for instance you type "ping 4.2.2.2" to check if your Internet connection is working at all. To tell you how you get a command line, I'd need to know what operating system you're using, including whether you're using KDE/Gnome/xfce/whatever if you're running Unix.

Ah ok...I use Windows 7... so that means CMD prompt right?
by vonpaso xlura Thu Aug 23, 2012 2:34 pm
Yes. I don't know much about whois programs for Windows but I'm sure they're out there.
