The site is registered from Germany, Flag #1.

The company hired me but before I move forward, I wonder what you think as I continue to research them.

I am posting this from my mobile but I'm sure someone will be along presently to check when the website given was registered. In the meantime it goes without saying if this company asks you for money up front to secure the job or for visas do not send any money. If they are sending you checks (cheques) or money orders to cash and then send the balance on please do not cash them because they are fake.

Also if you could post a few if their initial Emails to us with headers it would help us determine if it is a scam.

and that website hosted a company site for DIOS Exploration on 1 April 2010.

They never asked for money.

They've sent emails keeping me updated on the next steps of the process, specifically to verify my experience, name, address and email and then to tell me about the job, ie pay structure, hours, duties etc. Like any employer, they asked for a copy of my ID along with bank deposit information. I checked multiple times and my bank balance has not been touched. Not that there's much in there to touch....

One portion of my duties is to process payments via Moneygram and that is where I stopped dead in my tracks. I have not done any work for them but they are supposed to contact me tomorrow to start.

The moneygram portion was described as this: Receive a payment for example of a few hundred bucks then use just a portion of that payment to send to someone else. What happens to the excess is anybody's guess, I have not gotten that far in my "training" yet.

Not registering with the SEC is another giant red flag.

The manager's name is Gary Branch and their HR contact is Becky Hyde.

They've taken a lot of effort to make a great website. As legitimate as it looks, after the moneygram surprise, I am having a hard time believing they are. Why would an investment firm pay me to stand in line at moneygram when they could just set up online wire transfers bank to bank....like Merril Lynch or Edward Jones does?

I wonder how many people have been hired beside me and are they having a similar experience?

Yesterday a non-UK citizen lost his bank account over a scam like this, and he is in a horrible mess now. Without a bank account he can't get a job or even receive state benefits.

Companies have bank accounts and NEVER use Moneygram.

Check Google. They sent out a massive countrywide scam spam effort to all job websites. It's a 'hit and run' job.

Out of my morbid curiosity, have you got links to the non UK citizen's story and/or the google search you speak of? I search D&P of course only to come up with their site.

It's not the same fake company as this is currently being deployed on a massive scale with easily 100 varied websites.

The victim is Zvetochick. This is part way through a post dealing with other scam employment sites from the same source and they are elsewhere, notably on the 'Employment Forum'.

Apologies if I'm blunt, but Zvetochick is now in a very bad position, worse in that she in now in a foreign country with no way to support herself and no way to get a job.
