I'm sorry karsten.leupold but the situation you describe just doesn't make sense, even if you can't understand that.

The person you are dealing with is not educated and is clearly lying to you. Why didn't he mention the student visa to you at the beginning ? Someone working at an educational institution would know immigration rules in detail, and also that he would never be able to bring someone in to the UK to work for them on a student visa.

Ask him what documents you'll need to obtain a student visa. Scammers are very lazy and not very clever, but if he can't tell you, you have no chance of getting a visa. It's no good if he tells you to go to another agency. If he has told you he is going to act as your sponsoring educational institution then he must know what documentation is required so that he can provide it, and I can tell you if he is correct.

Is he still trying to sell you a 'Green Card' for entry to the USA ?

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

I transfered the amount to the bank account he opened in my name. I will let you know in few days if everything was ok

It is impossible to open an account for someone else. Every person who opens a bank account, must do that in person and show a valid ID. When the scammer told you to send the money with western union or money gram, then you can be 100% sure it is a scam, because if it was real, you could just put the money straight into the account yourself. Try to retrieve the money immediatly before the scammer picks it up and it will be lost. It is likely that the scammer is using a fake bank website. What is the webaddress for that bank website?

And could you please post the first email that was send to you?

Next will be a request for more payments due to a problem, to pay for an immigration lawyer/barrister/official, now that you have paid once, he will continue to request more money to cover new problems.

As requested, could you please post the original email he sent you?

@ Karsten you don't have to let us know what happened because everything will NOT be ok you are being scammed and you have been warned yet you still chose to trust someone you do NOT know your money is long gone and will NOT be returned to you and you will no longer hear from this African scammer until he/she needs more of your money since you are so easy to part with it.But let us know what happens I'll wait.

Hi Karsten

If this is the Abbey College in Malvern Wells, Worcestershire - their phone number will start with 01684 - I know it well. If you want to give me the name of the man you spoke to in London and the name of the woman you spoke to at the college I will be able to confirm if they exist as I know people connected to the college.

Obviously the method of getting you into the country that they have suggested is incorrect and in the case of the student visa - ILLEGAL and I cannot imagine a college employee suggesting it.

Please do not come to the UK on the basis of what you have been told and against all the advice on this site as you could be putting yourself in danger.
