what happened to the check should i call my bank ?? i had the same thing happen to me
well i currently have recieved a cashiers check in the mail saying i was to buy my equpitment with it and then the rest would be for me my bank put a hold on it which is fine i am awaiting to see if the funds went through the instructor then said they would get back to me with what to do next as soon as the funds were suffient it sounds sketch to me i am trying to figure it out so i can let my bank no before its to late

Yes, you need to call your bank. Talk to the fraud department and let them know that you have discovered that this is a scam and the check will be fake.

Thank you so much for the warning on these people. These scammers have changed their supposed company, but their script seems to be the same. They are now claiming to be recruiting for Trivitron Healthcare which is also a legitimate company in India, but the scammers trace to Ebene City, a city on the island nation of Mauritius and to an African ISP service I think (see below).

A friend of mine talked to them through IM today, and her story is much the same as the others here. A check is allegedly being sent. I don't know if their ad was on Craigslist or somewhere else.

Below is the source code from the original email they sent to her, a trace of the ISP (which led--as far as it could trace--to an ISP off the coast of Africa), and the IM chat (with her personal information stripped out). She or I will let you know if/when a check appears.

I can't believe I almost fell for it. I was about to go to my bank today and deposit this check. Even though everything seemed legit and I was gonna ask the bank to verify the account and possibly hold off on depositing it into my account until it cleared. Now I read other people have thought of that and done it, only to get fined and held responsible in the end by their banks when the checks bounce. This person wrote to me in the exact same script as you. Ex. My typing speed is somewhere near 65-70 WPM. I haven't tested in a while but the last time I did it was 65 WPM. I assume it is quicker now since I am typing much more regularly.

I haven't heard a reply. It sucks that people have fallen for this scam already. Never, ever pay for anything up front. It's also always a good idea to do as much research about a company, prior to accepting any sort of employment. I hope this thread helps.

Ok, so I do not want to bother posting the entire chat logs. Anyways, mine follows what Nathanville does except I kept going. They got my full name, address, and bank I use but nothing beyond that. After a total of 4 hours (From 9 am to 1pm) I talked to them and started to get a little suspicious when they took 1 hour to "Talk to the board of directors" and then congratulated me on receiving the job.
Afterwards they discussed payment options on how I would like to get my paycheck. Work ethic questions, then descriptions of tasks. Finally they sent me emails saying "TASK!!" that had obscure business questions included in them. After the second one I decided to tell them I had to call it a day as I wasn't prepared for all of this work then found this thread at roughly 12:30 in the afternoon. I contacted API Healthcare and got to HR to discuss this matter with them if it was legit. While asking "Does this person work for you?" is a questionable thing to hear, I explained I might be falling for a scam and simply wanted to know if I had actually been hired for a Data Entry position. 10 minutes after I left my name and number they called back and informed me nobody by that name exists and neither does that position. Needless to say I called my bank pronto to put a soft hold on my account so that they couldn't get to anything without particular knowledge.

Long story short: If you see this chat log or something roughly similar then AVOID IT IMMEDIATELY.
Also, I emailed back the person saying I will enjoy sleeping in and thanked them for wasting my time.

The name of this scam may have been changed to Roche Healthcare Inc. Yesterday, I received an email from James Grant telling me I was chosen for an interview with Sandra Anderson. It is the same story except the name has changed. I had to log in to messenger this morning to chat with Sandra which I did now I am waiting for her to IM back since she was "In a meeting". She said that my check for my software had been mailed out and I should receive it today. She failed to provide a tracking #. I am going to see what else she has to say. I will keep you guys posted.

It is definitely the same scam. These scammers like to run the same scam repeatedly, simply changing the name of the healthcare company they claim to be.

I would really appreciate it if you or whoever is responsible for this fraud check, to actually pay me real US dollars. I'm not going to be responsible for any of this at all, Ms. Castro. You guys have yet to satisfy me, while I've been working, literally, for FREE and I don't even ask for my paycheck, yet, you guys failed to be COMPLETELY honest with me about some things. There's a part two to this whole thing also.

Excellent job of tracking the scammers as they morph into various fake companies . Keep up the good work of posting their scam jargon and various email and messenger addresses . Baiting a phone number is also a good idea .
