Who contacted you? The Post Office, UPS, or the scammers? If the scammers, it's an empty threat.

Ok i dont know what to do with all this stuff thats been sent to my home if i keep it im afraid the cops will come and think i was hiding it but if i get rid of it im afriad they will come looking for it and i wont have it and ill get in just as much trouble

That is why you need to contact the companies that the merchandise was bought from. The packing slips should have a phone number or a website for the seller.

If you arrange return the items to the sellers, you will not have problems with the police.

Even donating the items to charity can get you in trouble unless the sellers have told you to do so.
