This is an email I received in response to a job application I sent to [email protected] 11 days ago. Sounded fishy right away, so I googled it and found this website. Just a warning for others. The add was posted either on workopolis or monster.ca. I did not interact with them at all.

Here is a response to a craigslist ad for a delivery driver I just received. the language and job requirement was totally weird, so I googled the email address and was led here. Here is a copy of the email.

I believe I have experience a scammer. I have been looking for a new job recently and submitted my information. Thank God I did my research before submitting any further information to this fake "Rapheal Churchill". I am completely blown away that people have the nerve to be so cruel and have such immoral integrity. Please be aware. I will be sharing this information with the police so that it can be looked into further. Don't be stupid world. If red flags go up trust your gut or ask someone. No doubt, it's a scam. The description of tasks matches that of a money mule, not anything that a watch company would hire for. The writing is not that of anyone educated in any Germanic or Romance tongue. There's no such thing as a home-based receptionist, and the tasks don't match those of a receptionist.

Could you post the email addresses? Many people search for email addresses to see if they've been reported as scammers. Also if you can post the full headers (Received, X-Originating-IP, etc.), we can usually tell where the email came from.

I'm glad that I found your site, as well, to confirm my suspicions about a reply I received from a CL ad. It was for a personal assistant ad that barely had any details, but I still sent a resume just in case it was a real job. I should have listened to my initial feelings and passed over the ad.

This is the email I received:

Dear Applicant,

I got your application resume. I'm looking for someone that can be trusted and reliable to work very well with good understanding. This position i am offering is home-based and flexible, working with me is basically about instructions and following them, my only fear is that i may come at you impromptu sometimes,so i need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. His email address is [email protected]. I thought it was suspicious because of the grammar and weird use of language. Also, it was sent in a comic-sans font. What potential employers defaults his font to comic sans?
