Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Welcome mummabee, it's great you want to help! :=) I hope you didn't lose too much money ?

However, you need to delete your email address - use the EDIT button. Scammers and spammers use programmes to harvest addresses off the internet, and you will get more spam and scam mails. Done. Thank you for your diligence. :D ~Bubbles

For now, just post all the details you have got:
- the text of the fraudulent emails
- email addresses used by the scammer
- fake websites the scammer is using

This will help others to avoid this scam.

Thank you.

Hi, am a newbie here.

First I would like to thank this site bec my eyes is open that I am indeed scammed. Sept.14 I signed the contract with this Carolyn Sanders, or THL.. I know it was stupid giving all the details online but I believe my desperation to earn money lead to it.

I am amaze to see here the same letter I have in my mailbox, and indeed make me realize the stupid move I made. They have all my details and they have my bank account too.

Today, is their schedule of sending money to me, but I read this.. so the first option I did is to call my bank. Although they say cant do much about it. Their recommendation is to go to branch, close that account and open a new one, that I might do later.

The only difference I guess to what they are asking of me, is to encash it and send it to Western union, so it means that money is good as cash... I just need to physically transfer it. Second is, they called me yesterday in my mobile to check if Im ready for the first assignment. Do they actually called in others?

Well bottomline is I was saved, I am here to study and to work in Australia.. and thank god for this people who is brave enough to share their experience and someone like me would also be experiencing.

Thanks guys..

Welcome to ScamWarners krizzy503 . It is good to hear that you found you were dealing with a scammer!

If they did put any money into the account, it would have been either fraudulent or in some way not "real" money. The money you would have sent to them would have come back to haunt you. You would have sent REAL money believing that you had real money backing it up. Eventually the banks would find out that the money you "received" wasn't real and you would have to repay the cash you had withdrawn.

There would have been fees held against you and probably a visit from the police. All you would have is some emails and no proof that you were not trying to defraud the banks.

Hopefully, you have totally dropped communication with this criminal.

I would act immediately on closing that account because you do not know what the scammer can do with it.

Be careful looking for jobs, and if they sound too good to be true, please post the information here for us to help you out.

I agree with you, thank you to everyone who posts information here. :=)

and at the end of the email I replied with
The entire net is saying that this is a money laundering scam, this email address has been reported to the relevant authorities...

Interestingly the first email I sent through inquiring about what sort of company it was went to the sender, I usually ignore these sort of emails in my inbox because the majority of them are written as though they are from an individual who doesn't speak English very well, and there has been an increase in Nigerian scams, ect. Anyway when I replied with a second email challenging the precipitant on the legitimacy of this "business" a reply came back pretty much instantly with...

Thank you for helping spread a word of caution about these types of messages! The email in question is a great example of a spoof message designed to appear as if it came from a legitimate source or 3rd party company in order to lend its credibility.

You are missing the significance of the scammer's alleged claim @CBSiteSecurity

'This is a request to your resume posted in CareerBuilder...."

All job sites need to find a way to secure the information they want people to record with them. If they don't, they just become a cheap repository of information to be collected by criminals for identity theft and other scams.

I would never post personal information on such a site.
