Company Representative scams, Payment Processing scams and other Employment scams.

Hello Runi,

Yes we recommend just blocking their emails and not replying to them. If you confront them, they will just deny being scammers so you have nothing to gain.

As to sending them your passport, it is unlikely that they will do anything with it, but there is a possibility that they might use it to further future scams by assuming your name. Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do about this, as they now have the passport.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hi Alan,

Thank you very much for your helpful comment. :=) You're doing a great service to prevent this kind of fraud.

Kind regards,
Runi

Welcome to ScamWarners Runi. Scammers have been known to use passports obtained in this way to further their scamming. There probably isn't much more they can do. I would speak to the authority who issued my passport so that I didn't have any unpleasant surprises if it is misused.

I have received the same initial contact but the company named and person contacting me is different after that word for word:

Our customer, Japan Foreign Exchange Group, currently seeking motivated and responsible individuals to attend the post of a 'Administrative Assistant'.

The application form they send you is very detailed and will probably allow them enough information to steal your identity - I have no intention of completing this form and will be contacting the UK Jobsite website and informing them of what is happening.

As you can guess I won't be applying or completing the application.

Hello eileen and welcome to ScamWarners.

Could you post up the email address and any websites that the scammer is using, as these will be what other victims will search for.

Also, you appear to have signed up using your real name as a username. We recommend annonimity, so you might like to PM the site administrators (Jillian or Dotti) and ask them to change your user name to somehing more annonymous.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
