Fake "Angela's Electronics" job description for the google bots :

http://helpusstaffing.com/staffing#aHR0 ... FmMmU3ZmZi

The following information provided for the benefit of candidates who may be employed by Angela's Electronics.

Gavin Larsen, a former construction manager passionate about computer games, founded the company in 1999. Angela's Electronics developed rapidly, opening several stores in Southern California and the surrounding states. The management skills Gavin possessed helped him put together an excellent team who really cared about their job. They were passionate about becoming successful, allowing the company to survive in spite of difficulties.

After several unprofitable years, Mr. Larsen reluctantly stepped down and a new CEO, Paul Eversole, replaced him. With the advent of the internet as a marketing avenue, the company was forced to reassess and adapt. Paul Eversole implemented several new developments to improve business. His most important initiative was the launching of Electroniti.com in 2012. In addition, he developed an innovative rebate model that attracted many new customers. They in turn told their friends how affordable quality electronics can be.

Long-standing relationships with many leading manufacturers, has enabled Electroniti.com to provide incredible values on cameras, tablets, and more. This network, paired to a much wider customer base, produced outstanding. New and ambitious goals were set. Profits began to soar and working hours became longer. It became necessary to add more staff to continue to provide excellent service and support to our customers in the U.S. and abroad.

From one computer game store in California, we have grown significantly. Angela's Electronics has an ongoing vision of providing new locations and hiring new expert staff better serve customers with the service and quality they expect. Every satisfied customer that we serve and every package we deliver moves us closer to this goal.

You can now join the exciting team at Angela's Electronics. We are looking for those who are passionate bout what they do and who are driven, who are customer-oriented and who don’t break electronics by simply looking at them. Higher education or expertise in a second language are not required, unless you intend to apply for an office position and climb the corporate ladder.

During the first 6-12 months you will work out of your home office. Your responsibilities will include:

* Handling customer correspondence
* Handling problems such as incorrect items shipped or damage during shipment
* Handling special circumstances like international orders, oversized packages and USPS regulations

For the first 2-3 months you will work an estimated 15 hours per week. You will gradually increase your hours to a peak of 45-50 hours a week during the busy season (November-January). Inform the HR specialist if you cannot currently devote full time.

You will serve a paid probationary or internship period for your first 4-8 weeks. For this period, you will be paid a monthly salary of $1,850 plus a gas allowance of $150. Generally, you will be sent your first paycheck during your first month of employment. At the end of this internship, your supervisor will share his (her) opinion of your progress with HR through an Evaluation Report.

You will probably work from your home office for at least the first year. Still, we believe that your position is important and should be treated accordingly. You will be recognized and timely feedback will be given you during this time. You will be well-compensated. After your internship, your monthly salary will be $2,300 (plus up to $250 gas allowance). You may receive a higher compensation if you show increased ability and are given increased responsibility.

This job entails a 5-day work week (Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. local time). You may sometimes have to work on Saturday for an hour or two. This overtime will warrant extra pay. Please plan your schedule to be available.

If you are approved for the job, you will be expected to begin work within two weeks. With approval under certain circumstances, a candidate may be allowed up to 20 days to serve a two-week notice at the previous place of work. The HR specialist will decide if you will be allowed to do this.

Terminator,

That is pretty much what we all responded to and knew. They did give an "background history" and those are the exact responsibilities we have. I did research and made phone calls before I had even responded to them and have continued to do research with no avail, just got there are no complaints against them. I am making sure that this gets reported by us 3 and try to prevent this from happening to others and praying we can somehow help them get caught. I know it is rare but I have faith we can help get them. This website I somehow came upon by accident and have been the most helpful of any agency I have dealt with or spoken to. I want to take a sec and thank the kind ppl who made this site and volunteer their skills to help us. I feel so silly and naive that I have fallen for this.

I was scammed by them too! I thought I did a decent job with researching both companies, but noticed the site was down this weekend. I even passed up the opportunity for a real job since I have been "working" for them for 3 weeks now. I feel sick about this!!!

More search engine fodder from the fake site:
We offer the most comprehensive job-searching process than any other system. Our system will allow you to search for jobs based on location, resume data and past employment. We create score-based clouds for each position that are used as filters for automatic position selection for employees.

Our company was founded in Oldsmar, FL and it is US-owned. The company is owned by famous entrepreneur Ben Ketcher and it is currently under his leadership. The company has experienced tremendous growth and has expanded to the rest of the country although it is still based in Durham.

Our company’s focus is helping our clients find the right job that matches their particular skills and for this reason our HR managers have worked together with employers to come up with a unique score-based cloud for each position. We also have an automatic interview system for a better time management.

The officer that came to my house this am pretty much laughed at me. said i didnt do anything illegal but to just wait and see if a swat team or fbi busted down my door. This whole situation is not funny at all. i have taken all the avenues that i could take i dont know what else to do.

shy, at this point in time if you have notified :
the US Postal Inspector ( including the victim witness program I gave you a link for earlier in this thread).
the IC3
local PD ( for you)
other fraud departments if the USPS was not involved ( FedX, DHL, UPS, etc)

then you have done all you can do for now. Your best bet at this point in time is to stop all contact with these scammers. Refuse delivery of any new packages that may show up to you. If any directions come from law enforcement, follow them ( Be careful, scammers do impersonate law enforcement often). Save any emails, texts, or snail mail letters you may get, but don't open them until law enforcement is present or asks you to.

It is likely the website is in the process of being removed for fraud, but the whois does not yet reflect that statement yet. https://www.paknic.com/Whois

Read this article to help you understand what to look out for in the future. ( it is a lot to take in).

and this one : http://www.fraudguides.com/home-busines ... -fraud.asp

Good luck, and keep your cool. Trust me, I know what you are going through in your head right now ( or at least close to it )

I did all of that prior to "employment" and have continued to research them during. All of the government agencies could say was there were no complaints! I just happended to come upon this site i dont remember how this weekend and it has been the most helpful.
by shy2shy82 Mon Dec 15, 2014 2:27 pm
so, is it gonna be even remotely possible to do anything since they took everything down?
by Dotti Mon Dec 15, 2014 2:35 pm
While we always recommend going to local police to cover your bases (and document your victim status to prevent future charges against you) it is still not uncommon to encounter local police officers with little to no understanding of internet crimes. We have seen some remarkably bad advice given at times (like police officers telling victims to continue contact with the criminals) and we have seen some cases where victims were treated with derision or scorn. There are some great local PD's, but many just do not have education in these matters.

Our site killers started the process of getting the sites listed and reported as fraudulent yesterday, which is most likely why the site has disappeared--the removal could be from the criminals who knew they were "outed" or the host may have already pulled the plug based on the fraud reports. History still exists that can be used by investigators--but getting the sites removed is priority, because there will be hundreds of mules who haven't found their way here who will continue to process stolen merchandise if the site is still up.

Unfortunately, these kinds of scammers usually act quickly and aggressively. They open their new sites and hit hundreds (or thousands) of potential victims right away. They start moving stolen merchandise almost immediately. While sometimes a potential victim who didn't fall for the scam will report them, often there are no complaints until after victims have "worked" for a month and then tried to get a paycheck to no avail. So when you are first recruited and ask questions, you are likely to find nothing. As I said, local police often have no education in these crimes, and agencies like BBB only check their records to see if they have complaints (though they should have pointed out to you that the "company" is not actually accredited, which is in direct conflict with the website claims.) But with no history or complaints out there to set off red flags, the agencies will not actually investigate, they will just give you the answer that nothing has come up. The burden of investigating ends up falling on the victim, and if the victim doesn't know what to look for, it is very easy to get pulled into the scam.

Now that this set of sites is compromised, the scammers are undoubtedly preparing to launch new sites, with new names, and they will start to recruit another new round of victims.
