Hi All

I received the same scam today!! I found out it was a scam when I tried to search up the company and the description, luckily I came across this website with the same deal administration assistant position.
Thanks heaps for the previous posts I feel a lil stupid for sending them my CV in the first place. Interesting how they get our emails especially when I was looking for a job off seek.com hmmm anyway hope this helps others as well

Generally it is best to just leave the scammer wondering what happened. The more you communicate with them, the more possibility they might hook you back into the scam. I know it sounds "rude", but just leave then hanging.

Thank you so much for the scam posts here. I was also unfortunately roped into similar posts in the US. It looks like the same scammer has changed the name as "MLD Elite Trade Firm" located in Texas as they plan to take money out of the US bankers. As you guys mentioned, here is the initial email they write to you:


Hello "Person's Name",


MLD is a elite materials trade firm. We are now after administrative assistants/sales support clerkc in the US.
This position focuses on the management of daily, weekly and monthly tasks and other projects pertaining to the sales support in the US.


Essential responsibilities are:

- Supporting Organization's Sales Team as a special projects support
- Data processing and other duties as assigned
- Managing tracklist for all completed purchases and payments
- Giving global administrative maintenance such as writing of letters, processing purchase orders and expense reports etc.
- Executing correspondence during business week


Schedule: Full-time or flexitime timetable can be discussed. Your schedule can be flexible.
For a part time position - you will spend 3 hours every day average, during business week.


Payment: Base pay for a part time timetable is $450 on a weekly basis plus 5% commission from each duly finished deal with a customer. Full-time position salary is $880 per week plus 5% commission.

utl-luxury.com is in the process of being reported for fraud. It's a money mule scam, as the job description makes clear.

hello all this is very bad !! i have receive an email offering me a job from UTL !, is a company in america, I live in australia and i was looking for jobs in SEEK.COM.AU and i got an email saying that there was a possition for administrative assistant home base with the salary of 450 Au weekly for part-time and the salary for 880au for full time i did sign the papers i gave my account number BSB the good news is that i have closed my account after reading this and i don't have money at all there due that i only open it for that UTL thing, i have provide it all my detail such as full name address BSB Account number and phone number well i have call my other banks asking if anyone could get information about my online banking using only my fullname address phone number they said no they will need to ask more question so yeh, i wanted to cry when i found this coz i realy was looking for a job, :( anyways just wanted to share my story.

I wish I had seen this before I stupidly thought I actually was being employed :(
I was applying for jobs online via seek , and I got a reply for a company claiming to be offering me a position at there company the email seemed very legit and th packaged they offered who would resist. So I went ahead and accepted the job not knowing it was a money Laundering scam. I went ahead with everything they said until I got abit suspicious about one of there emails so I looked their company up on google , Not only did I find a fake website but I found a hand full of scam Warner websites warning people of this fraudulent company . Well before I could sent them an email about my findings I notice there was 3500 dollars that had been deposited into my bank account . I email them about my findings on google about them being fake and straight away they emailed me back saying to transfer the money back to their account so I did so immediately in the money I spoke with my bank and they advised me what to do. There website no longer works not does there email addresss I spoke to the police but they didn't really give two shits!!! Everyone's telling me oh if I were you I would have taken the money out and spent but I worried for my family because they had my address so I just have it back .

This is what they said to me once I said I knew they were fake and they had already deposited the money

Send the transfer back to us via online to:

name of the bank: Commonwealth
account number: 10965183
bsb: 062005

Once sent email us screenshot from your account statement to confirm that the transfer was sent back. After receiving of the screenshot we can finish our relationships.

You did the right thing by not taking the money and by asking the bank what to do. I'm sorry to hear you had to learn about this type of scam the hard way, but am glad you found us. The job description is the typical meaningless waffle that hides the basic truth that they want to launder stolen money through your bank account, when it's obvious that any company selling goods from any part of the world will have the facility to receive payment by credit card, and if they don't, there's something seriously wrong.

Companies have their own bank accounts and are obliged by tax laws to pass payment receipts through them. It's illegal to do anything else, but the real illegality is that they require a 'mule' to receive money that they can get paid on to the individual behind this using an untraceable cash transfer service.

The trick is to get you believe you're dealing with a company when clearly you're not.
