I saw this internship on, internships.com. http://www.internships.com/administrati ... d-I6041319, so I applied for it and got a response right away asking for my email and number. I was a bit cautious and only gave my email, then some lady emailed me telling her to join a google hangout chat with her. So I did and basically, i got the job for "data entry". I even told her I was under 18 and was unable to fill out a W-4 form, it didnt make much of a difference. But it was a real person, I gave my address and what not. Supposedly I'm getting a check and meeting someone in person too.

So here's how it all went (I'm promised a check and a laptop.... :/ ?):

williamslea.com has been registered since 1996 and has five years in the future. It is highly unlikely to be fake, even though it has a hidden registrant. The interviewer, however, is a not-well-educated West African, not an American, German, or Canadian. The job is a scam. Please post the fake name the interviewer used, as someone may be searching for it.

if it were even close to a real job, and not an impersonation of what is a real company, then the williamslea.com would be after the @ in an email address. Not before it with a gmail dot com free email address. That is just how email addresses work.

I am currently having the same experience and figure it's most definitely a scam. I figured that from the start when I received the email about the interview having to be done thru Google Hangouts. The email even refers to the gentleman hiring person as Mrs.
