This scammer has done some homework but it is still clearly a scam vijay222.

homeoffice-gov.org is a fraudulent domain and nothing to do with the UK government.

This is the official UK government website and contains details of the rules and regulations applying to UK visa applications. Isn't it strange that the e-mail doesn't advise you to go to that website ?

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/faqs/faqapplyforvisa/2969329

Visas for the UK can be issued only at British Missions overseas. If you need a visa, you must get it before you travel to the UK.

You will never get a visa based on a scanned copy of your passport. The request for a scan of your passport alone is enough to determine that you are dealing with a scammer, and they never mention the need for biometric fingerprint scans, without which you'll never get a visa.

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/faqs/faqapplyforvisa/2967203

You will have to go in person to your nearest visa application centre to provide your biometrics and submit your application.

There are some limited and rare exceptions to this rule, but the request for a scan of your passport is a laughable and ridiculous scam request, and when you are asked to send fees by Western Union there is no doubt your money will go to a scammer. Western Union is only legally capable of sending money to personal individuals, not even companies let alone government departments.

Warning signs

Request for scan of passport.
No advice to got to local office of UK Embassy in your country or the Embassy's official visa application representative office.
No request for biometric details.
Any mention of Western Union (or payment to a private individual).

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/doineedvisa/
Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

Unusually, there is a lot of true info there, doubtless cut and pasted from the genuine Border Agency website.
Still 100% scam though.
