Hi there, and welcome to scamwarners. I'm interested in their 'corporate website', could you please post it here? If we find that it's fake we can try to get it offline. Thanks for posting!

My name is Kate Chauncey and I am the hiring manager of the company
Euro Direct Investment. I would like to say that I appreciate the time
you have spent on us. I have reviewed your application and I would
like to tell you more about our company and also discuss the hiring
conditions.

To begin with, I will tell you about the company EDI. We are a
dynamically developing European investment company. EDI invests small
and middle businesses around the world and it is a professional member
of the investment market. Our head office is in the Czech Republic.
Last year we opened a branch in Delaware, USA.

Currently we are hiring new employees for the US branch and our goal
is to create a responsible and goal-oriented team of people with a
strong spirit and the feeling of togetherness, which is one of the key
aspects of our success. We hope that you will become a part of our
team and turn to be a responsible and reliable employee.

Now let me inform you about your future responsibilities. The
investment representative controls and distributes the investments on
the territory of his or her country based on the contracts in
accordance of which EDI takes an obligation. The investment
representative deals with processing broker operations and makes sure
that the investments are processed correctly. A more detailed
explanation you can find in the file attached to this email. As you
already know we do not require any special education for this
position. And that is why we have our own training programs during the
working process. The training, as well as the job itself, will be
performed remotely; however, there are possibilities of a career
growth. You are offered a unique chance to show yourself as a
responsible and future-oriented person.

As I have already said, we hope that you will become a part of our
team. That is why you are required to perform the standard hiring
procedures of the official employment. First of all, you will need to
complete the company’s application form. This form is probably doesn’t
differ from your resume, however, it is a necessary procedure that was
set by the head office. Once I receive the filled form, either the
company’s employee or me will contact you via telephone for a brief
interview. Then we will be able to make a decision regarding your
employment and provide you with a contract, the signing of which will
mean the official employment in our company.

In case you have any additional questions, you are always welcome to
ask me.

I am waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Kate Chauncey,
EDI LLC

Hi Michelle, I got the same email from Euro Direct Invest LLC last year. I went to their website then ran a check on their phone #s which came back to unlisted mobile #'s in California. Their address showed as the location of the company they purchased the company name from - middle of nowhere on Google Maps so very suspicous. The website IP you can find by doing a whois - it showed that it was hosted/residing in Latvia - an area known for scams. When I went to the executives section of their website I then did a
Google search on the names of some of the key executives and interestingly enough found the exact same people (pictures and names) were associated with another company that was legit. Euro Direct Invest had been copying materials from the legit company's website. I contacted the legit company's executives to warn them - it appears they went after them and got the Euro Direct Invest website taken down since it no longer exists.

Bottom line whenever someone sends you something you can do a lot to check out the company on the web. Hopefully no one got taken by these goons.
