http://shinetheway399.co.za redirects to jobmarketers.com. It's a seven-year domain, but a site in South Africa's TLD for a company based in South Africa, registered by a Czech in Czechia, is highly likely to be fake. Probably a scammer took over the existing domain.

MOD NOTE: Despite this posters claims, it is very strange for a website for a South African company to be registered by someone in Czech Republic. And just as strange for a representative of that company to register for this website from an IP address in the UAE.

Always exercise extreme caution with any contacts made over the Internet and be wary of any requests for money. If you are looking for a job then there should be no need to pay intermediaries to help you. Multi-national companies will use recognised local employment agencies and also advertise roles on their own websites

After reading our company's assessment, it is important that a clear picture is put presented here as there seems to be a misunderstanding as to how our company works.

Firstly it has to be made quite clear that domain name and country of it's registration has no bearing whatsoever on how a company works. To think that because a domain name is registered in the Czech Republic and it's function is then initiated in a different region is a bit uninformed and a rather paranoid view.

To put this on the right track, this is how we function:

Jobmarketers.com specialize in personnel marketing and functions as a specialized personnel marketing job portal. Personnel Marketing Job portals hosted online, do not provide a direct placement of candidates in employer job vacancies.

Our company fulfills the role of a middle man, but between the Job Seeker and Recruiter. Personnel Marketing Job portals provide a platform whereby Job Seekers market their skills and Recruiters search to find them. Our company veers away from the detailed screening and placement of candidates and rather facilitate the interaction between Recruiters and candidates.

However, at times, we may request a pre-placement assessment of some candidates before placement is finalized. Many Job Seekers understand this function to be different to what it really is and anticipate a Personnel Marketing Job portal to provide the same function to that of a Recruiter. Our company does not partake in detailed screening, interviewing or placement of Job Seekers. I can't find any trace of this company being registered under JobSeekers or Shine The Way 399, but I did find plenty of consumer complaints about both company names:

I had gotten an SMS from a number saying that they do recruit people internationally to work. When I had called/emailed to find out, they had sent me the forms and wanted a R600 payment and would let me know in 2 weeks.
Within the two week period, had gotten an email with someone elses offer of intent & when had emailed them to say they sent me someone elses offer I had gotten a response with the correct information & also a further amount to be paid (R2500).
I had gotten busy and had not responded, the next day at 8:40am I had missed a call from this lady who sent me the email. Had emailed her to say that I would get back to her. Some alarm bells had went off, and decided to google search the company. Now find out its a scam!! Thank God its only R600 before I had paid R2500 and more!!!

There was also a fraud warning on LinkedIn. I'm still looking at what else is connected to their Reg. number.

There's another website http://www.workplacements.co.za/ using the same content and contact information as jobseekers but with a different registration number, 016/48/209

So my question ism what exactly is your company name and registration number?

This company also changes it's phone numbers, emails and domains quite frequently according to AIHIT and you will see they claimed to be in the Czech Republic previously:

KC from Global Workers was supposedly a consultant for Worplacements in Czech
I registered and paid my final installment end January 2018.
I had 1 interview with a gentleman called Stefan from Czech on 28 February 2018
After that no further communication except from KC sending me motivational messages in the morning
Last week I noticed my Job Files on http://www.workplacements.cz were blank
I sent a message to KC but she did not reply
I sent another message yesterday and that was when she informed me she is no longer employed by Workplacements, I must contact ANOTHER company called JV Jobs!! http://www.jvjobs.eu
Strange thing is that since yesterday morning the cell number for Workplacements was no longer active
I did receive a mail from them confirming my profile is still active
I did notice that their cell number is the same as for JV Jobs and both registars for the 2 domains are the same
KC Naidoo apparently was consultant for a few other companies
And I have a suspicion that Workplacements and JV Jobs are also scam companies
I wonder how many other people fell for these companies
