I am REALLY upset about this. I am a single mother looking for work and unfortunately, that means I have to spend hours daily responding to employment post on hit or miss (mostly miss) sites such as Craigslist. After replying to one such post, this is the email I have received:
I was excited when I got a reply so quickly, but I was very suspicious. It all seemed to good to be true. Then they responded saying i was hired but somehow they had am old phone number and my current address even though i didnt give them either. Thanks to my Google search I found this site and saw that the email this "Philip Martinez" sent me has been going around for years. I am still in communication with this person, as this info is new to me and I have yet to decide how to proceed. I am worried about what they can do with the info i did give them (ie phone number, city, full name, age) especially, since they somehow figured out my street address. Not sure what they are trying to get from me or their objective, but I am even more upset that they had the gall to use a Bible verse in there email, which I must admit, as a Christian, made me trust them to begin with. (I know how ridiculous that sounds, believe me) Any info or advice that can be shared would be much appreciated.
I really want to confront this person...
